I find your comments interesting on a "news" level mostly with that geocaching.com logo sitting to the right. Kind of like doing a ford story telling how bad chevy is when they sponsor you.
Anyways, the copycat part needs a better looking into. For instance, Navicache was the first Web site using pin maps for caches, also first for adding icons for parks, bathrooms, handicap accesss, fees, etc.
Navicache was also the first site with a scoring system in place for caching. A very large amount of information on the caches pages you see on geocaching.com was copied from us, not the other way around.
Did not see that in your article.
But then again i guess I wouldn't.
