I was getting a GPSr for my birthday. The original intent was for use on adventurous backpacking trips and on business trips to strange cities. Little did I know that GPSr would instead take me on many different adventures and places stranger than any city.

My brother was visiting from Sacramento, and I told him of my exciting new toy that was soon to arrive. His first words to me were: "Have you ever heard of geocaching?"

After a brief visit to geocaching.com we were soon in the car with the whole family on our way to Lighthouse Field...
