On the way to 3000

By Celena Wolverton, aka Team Rowdy

In several emails back and forth between myself and Prairiepartners I discovered that they were on their way to 3000 caches! 3000! Our little team is struggling to get past 100! I know we have run into some interesting things along the way so I knew Prairepartners would have something to tell me! Oh, and the picture we were discussing was one of my favorites featured in here.

Hi Celena,

I guess I must have missed that picture. I usually read every Today's Cacher that comes out. That was great. I loved that picture also. Well I guess the thing that stands out the most on our way to 3000 is all the great people we have met, and all the wonderful places we have been. We got to cache a weekend with CCCooper (Lynn) and she has got to be one of the best people I have ever met. I would have to say our most memorable thing was GeoWoodstock III. We got to go caching with CCCooper, GeoPirat (from Germany), WCNut & Tater, Husky (from Germany) and Paintfiction from Jacksonville. Talk about extreme caching.

We have met a lot of people, but the group that stands out the most is our INKY group. Indiana/Kentucky group. We are part of the INGEO picnic planning team for our fall picnic which will be held in Clifty Falls. This is our second year on the planning team and we enjoy it so much. We are also good friends of Indy Diver. I think the one event that really stands out is the Walk the Walk event for MS last year. It was in honor of Indy Diver. Was such a worthwhile cache. Jim, myself and our daughter Amanda (Sassykat) collected $600.00 dollars for MS.

Our daughter Amanda (Sassykat) just reached her 1000 cache goal and she is only 10 years old. Deermark and Daggy placed her a celebration cache for her 1000 find. You can check it out Its called "Its A Girl Thang (SassyKat's 1,000)" There are a couple pictures on the site. There was 16 people who went out with her to find it.

Geocaching has had such a positive impact on our lives. I really can't say one thing that has stood out the most. There are just so many things I could tell you about our geocaching experiences and what an important part it has played in our daily way of life. Well thank you Celena for the interest in our caching event. I'm sending a couple more pictures use them if you want or just look at them. Have a great day.
