They are not referred to as "colonies" any more.

Cache Drawers
CACHE DRAWERS = Items occasionally left in caches at entrances to nudist colonies.
They are not referred to as "colonies" any more. That is an outdated term. They are now referred to as "nudist resorts" or "nudist camps" or "nudist camp grounds".
(Editor's Note: Thanks, Syrwin, for bringing that to our attention. We are always striving for the cutting edge of PC.) ;)
Who is kidding who, it is all about the numbers.

You play your game; I'll play mine
Who is kidding who? It is all about the numbers. I have done a very few caches to this point and I am always thinking about doing more. I have visited a lot of places I have never been just to cache and I want to visit more. Life is all about doing and seeing things that you might have otherwise missed. I think you would be hard pressed to find a cacher that didn’t do a cache that was nothing more than a number builder cache just because there might be something interesting to see there.
We have all done caches that we are embarrassing because they were so lame, but we log them anyway. People like to say I was there. Most of us have DNFs that we would return to just because of the view even if there weren’t a cache there, but caching is how we got there in the first place.
Ok we are all guilty of playing the numbers game, lets just admit it and get on with life. If we weren’t playing a numbers game of some sort we wouldn’t say things like “another” or “more”.
Face it no matter why you cache, and no matter what you get out of it you are always looking for another or more. The problem is when you turn it into a competition; the only one you that gets rewarded or cheated in the numbers game by padding is the cacher that does it.
Geocaching is nothing more than a large number of playing pieces set on a huge playing field -- the way you use the playing pieces is up to you. If the way you are using the playing pieces is not bringing you joy you are playing the game the wrong way. Look at the other ways that other players are playing the game, find the way that is right for you and do it that way. Don’t worry if others are playing the game a different way, just think of them as playing a different game that just happens to use the same pieces and playing field as the game you are playing.
Dan Loprich was the FTF in the Today's Cacher's "secret cache" last month. Ironically, he has yet to log a real geocache.
From Dan Loprich , aka team dajj
Wow, the FTF (on my very first). Okay so maybe I can't log this as Team D - A Double J's first find. We're new to Geocaching (have our GPS, but still in the box) waiting for the weather to break so we can take the Double J portion of our team (3 year old twins) to some local parks where some caches have been placed.
Thanks for a great magazine, have enjoyed reading (can't wait for more chapters of Serial Finder).
...You can send the complimentary issue to my friend (who is getting the geocaching bug too). Thanks
