The Ghost of Stunod, Blond Witch of East, Goblin, spook25000 and Friendly Wizard may be lurking somewhere near you, caching, or something. Halloween conjures veiled mirages of ghosts and goblins, and brews up unpleasant images of witches and wizards, and apparently, so does geocaching. After all, cachers calling themselves The Ghost of Stunod, Blond Witch of East, Goblin, spook25000 and Friendly Wizard may be lurking somewhere near you, caching, or something.
Usernames are widely varied among cachers; many players develop pseudonyms that shroud (or reflect) their lifestyles and fantasies. Some of them fit right in with the “spirit” of the eve of All Saints’ Day.
Consider SpookyChuck or witchiepoo. How about witchbippy and mutt? Or Spooks?
The modern conception of Halloween is a celebration with the purpose to ward off evil spirits by masking your image and environment, making it as unpleasant as possible. El Diablo, sept1c_tank, GeoWorms and Pyewacket all seem to work well here.
Then there are those monsters, the ones no one will go near, like puppymonster, CookieMonster1 and vermonsters. Milamber Dragon, Webfoot and Sassquatch are the line backers.
You’ve also got the rotten criminal element: Criminal, Johnnie Stalkers, Night Stalker and Evil Chicken, to deal with, and their counterparts, Agent N, Agent Oakie and Insp. Gadget. Blending in wherever they are needed (to see that good prevails and evil fails) are the super heroes like Zartimus, Divine and super chicken.
Would any self-respecting spirit want to mess with PumpkinEater? HankTheSaint, The Ghostbusters, or Pumpkin Princess will be on hand when things get rough.
