This month Today's Cacher is proud to offer some photos submitted by our readers "Gem Team" and "CSMBarnes."
We also have a video clip of the first geocache ever! WARNING!! The video file is 20 Meg large--it will take several minutes over a broadband connection, and much longer if you're using dial-up.!!! (Watch it at work...)
Lastly, we thought you might enjoy looking at some photos of cool cache containers posted in this thread at geocaching.com's forums.
The first photo is of a cache in Mexico that we went to on our winter vaction near Canjun/Playa Del Carmen. 'Light of Paa Mul' - GCBE18. The cache was hidden in the center flash light...oops. The reason this one is special was because we dropped off a TB (Becrux Bug Eye) at his first stop over and a couple fo weeks later the small resort had a fire and everything was destroyed. The dive shop and the people at the dive shop were extremely friendly and help full. Hopefully, this might encourge them to set up another cache in the area. We also, nearly got beaned by a coconut. I beleive there is some fact about coconuts hurting more people than probably winning the lottery... Our son Matthew and team enthusiast is pictured in both pictures - for Gem Team.
The second picture is of a great spot near Cold Lake, Alberta - Canada that has a old train bridge that has been converted into a walking bridge. The cache is not in the picture but off to one side near a big old tree, as discribed in the cache description. The picture itself is what we thought unique and worth sharing. The cache name is 'Trailblazer Beaver Lure' (GC46DE).
